When Food and Liquor dropped it was all over. That album was sooo good. Now we’ve got a bunch of new stuff showing up all over the place that is supposedly for Lupe’s new one, The Cool, dropping Nov. 20. Some of it is kinda’ blah, but these two tracks are single-worthy.
If you haven’t heard his Fahrenheit 1st/15th mixtapes find them on bittorrent, or zshare…
And what’s up with Lupe? All this talk of only making 3 albums? Here is what he says in this Billboard article:
“I’m just wearing down,” he admits. “I’m never doing mixtapes again, not even Internet ones. My whole energy for making hip-hop music is slowing down. I’ve been doing it for seven years. I still don’t think I’m famous. I’ll do what I have to do to promote my next album, but I’m not enthused about doing seven albums. I’ll do my three, and then I am going to keep moving to the next phase of life and maybe grow trees.”
This is such bs. This guy is gonna explode this year after The Cool drops. If not then, definitly when CRS finally gets together.
