Considering the direction Russia has been going the past few years, it’s the ultimate irony. The shot, taken by Annie Lebowitz (part of a series that she is doing for Vuitton), is pretty awesome. There is this fear to it like he’s about to be cornered by some former KGB guys for carrying important Russian documents. Also, that grey, graffittied Berlin Wall-esque structure… the hand on the door handle… the tentative sidways glance… really nice… but this guy’s about to be blown up.
